This calculator implements the Levine PhenoAge algorithm exactly as published. Nine clinical biomarkers and chronological age are combined into a composite mortality risk score using Gompertz proportional hazards coefficients derived from NHANES III data (n=11,432), then converted to a biological age estimate.
The formula uses parametric proportional hazards with a Gompertz baseline: M = 1 - exp(-exp(xb) * (exp(120*gamma) - 1) / gamma) where gamma = 0.0076927. The resulting mortality score is inverted to PhenoAge via: PhenoAge = 141.50225 + ln(-0.00553 * ln(1-M)) / 0.090165.
